Santa’s Enchanted woodland experience

Santa is visiting all his magical friends in our very own enchanted woods at Highway and he would love for you to come along too!

The first area of the woods is filled with beautiful twinkling lights, cheeky pixies, fun fairies and all the furry woodland animals, let the magic of the woods fill your heart with excitement as you prepare to meet Santa. Next you will enter the sparkly magic Gnome mine where the gnomes are working hard mining magic gems. Finally you will visit a mystical mushroom mountain with mushroom houses, dazzling snow and even unicorns before meeting Santa.

You will get to chat and giggle with Santa with lots of room for your family to socially distance. Santa will be separated from your family using a natural present barrier. Santa will then present each child with a special gift via a fun slide from his side of the natural present barrier to yours. You will also get an opportunity to take photos including one with Santa and your children (at a safe distance!)

You only need to book for children. We can only allow a maximum of 6 people in the experience per slot (these individuals must be from the same household or support bubble), with a maximum of 3 adults. For example if you book a slot for 3 children,3 adults may also come along, or if you have 4 children only 2 adults will be permitted (making the total of 6). Any persons over 11 must wear a mask, Santa will also be wearing a face covering (we definitely do not want him getting poorly before Christmas).

We advise you to arrive at the time of your booked slot and no earlier to limit any unnecessary queuing. The Grotto has moved to a separate greenhouse building to make the event more spacious, this is situated to the left of the locally grown Christmas tree area and is well signposted. The persons making the booking are responsible for ensuring all members of the party adhere to all rules and regulations in place for the safety of other customers and staff members.

As per Government Guidance all persons over 11 years of age must wear a mask or face covering in any of our buildings including meeting Santa unless they have proof of exemption. You will need to wear a mask at all times in the restaurant unless you are sat at your table

Only children need to book to see Santa in his grotto however to keep queuing times to a minimum throughout the grotto experience we will only permit 3 adults in the grotto with each booking.

Santa will give each child a special gift. In the grotto the gift will be delivered via a slide from Santa's side of the barrier to your side. In breakfast with Santa and Afternoon Tea with Santa your present will be delivered to you at your table.

Santa will visit your table to have a chat and deliver your present in person, you will not visit the Grotto when you book these events.

We have tried to minimise the time for you to queue, it will take a short while for you to walk through the enchanted wood and you may need to wait to a few minutes while the family in front of you visits Santa. To keep queuing down to the smallest amount of time we strongly advise that you only queue at the time of your slot and no earlier.

If you would like to bring a young baby along with another sibling and would not like a gift from Santa then you do not need to book for the baby. If you would like them to receive a gift then please book a ticket. Gifts are available for all ages.

Tickets can only be booked online at highwaygardencentre.co.uk

If you are able to print off your ticket confirmation then please do, however we will also accept a copy of it on your phone.

We have made sure we have lots of room for manoeuvrability and we welcome wheelchairs, prams and pushchairs, however in certain areas the floor may be slightly uneven. There is quite a steep slope to access the grotto, when you arrive please do speak with a member of staff who will be able to ask a friendly elf to show you to a more accessible entrance. Remember you are exploring an enchanted forest so wear sensible shoes!

We would love for you to take photos on your visit! Santa is definitely not camera shy and would love to get his photo taken, we have even made a special area for your children to stand in the grotto so Santa can be seen behind the children!

Please let us know in the comments box if you have any dietary requirements such as vegan, vegetarian, dairy free or gluten intolerant.
